Today I am so proud to share this amazing movement of kindness amongst 6th-8th girls at Woodlawn Middle School in Buffalo Grove. The girls decided to start writing positive messages of encouragement on post it notes which they stuck on the mirrors of the washrooms in the school. They left markers and post it notes for other girls, and by the end of the day, the concept quickly caught on, with over 200 messages.
The messages consisted of encouragement, beauty, inner strength and love.
I am so proud to be part of this community.
Greg Grana, principal of the school stated: “As a principal, I have never been more proud of my students as for these self-initiated actions.”
We need more of these movements! Please share this with your readers!
Do you have any special school stories to share? Let’s start moving with some great stories about our kids!
